Board Description
Guide redevelopment of the community in a manner that fosters excellence in the quality of life for all Alpena residents and its visitors. Decisions and recommendations should be consistent with sound planning principles and practices. Regular meetings consist of development and site plan reviews, special land use reviews, requests for variance, or requests for rezoning. Other business may include proposed modifications of the zoning ordinance, reviewing the Capital Improvement Plan, and discussing updates for the Master Plan.

There is a short application, which is  available at City Hall or the application can be downloaded by clicking here.  After submitting the application and proper review, suitable recommendation can be by the Mayor, City Council, or City Manager for appointment to this board/committee.
