Function/Description
The Harbor Advisory Committee is a citizen advisory board comprised of individuals interested in the operation of the City of Alpena’s Marina and the navigable waters around the City of Alpena.  The seven-member committee was created and members appointed by the Alpena City Council.

The mission of the Harbor Advisory Committee is to provide guidance and input on the operations, policies, and development of the City Marina and all navigable waters within the City of Alpena. The Harbor Advisory Committee meets on the first Thursday of every month. Shannon Smolinski, Harbormaster, oversees the operations of the City Marina and serves as the staff liaison to the Harbor Advisory Committee.
