F A Q
When and where does the City Council meet?
The City Council meets on the first and thir Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
Can citizens address Council during the meeting?
Citizens can address Council on agenda and non-agenda items at the beginning of the meeting. The Mayor will announce this portion of the meeting and citizens who wish to speak approach the microphone. Each citizen has 5 minutes to speak.
Can citizens place an item on the agenda?
Yes. A citizen can submit a request to be on the agenda, in writing, to the City Clerk. The request should include your name, phone number, where you can be reached, the subject and a description of the subject matter, and which Council date you wish to attend. The deadline to place an item on the agenda is noon on the Thursday before a Monday Council meeting. |
