| Duties | ||||
Enforces the building code, including all permit issuance, plan reviews, and inspections. Coordinates construction inspection with the State of Michigan, Bureau of Construction Codes. Enforces the property maintenance code to ensure that City properties are maintained to a minimal standard. Administers the municipal zoning ordinance including zoning compliance permits, certificates of occupancy, and site plan reviews. Consults citizens on prospective plans or projects. Performs code enforcement on violations of City ordinances. Serves as Soil Erosion Officer for work performed within the City limits. Serves as staff liaison to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Enforcement of Rental Registration Ordinance. Enforcement of Rental Inspection Ordinance. |
